i’ve been going to the living room for over ten years, and first ate here with my parents in high school. the food, atmosphere and drinks have remained solid and no trip to bali is complete without dinner at living room.
its best to call for a reservation, and hope (or ask) for a seat in the garden. it’s the perfect date spot and i finally got to have an actual date there! warm lighting, the ground covered in grass and stone, plenty of greenery, and of couse decorative metal chairs. it’s like having dinner in a fancy magical garden.
warm bread with pesto
seasonal veggies w/ confit tomato, truffle vinaigrette and shaved truffle
lemongrass sweet corn soup with crab and crispy onion rings (not what i expected)
seared baramundi with truffle risotto, red wine reduction, gren pea puree, glazed turnip, poached pear and garden herb emulsion
chocolate and vanilla affogato
another massive photo fail! (all the more reminder to blog as i go next time i’m on holiday… lesson learned!)
