mule cocktails have taken center stage in my home drinking life, replacing the vodka soda safety net and playing into my desire to drink more whiskey (this after years of whiskey being 86’d from my life… but thats a story for another day).
used bulleit bourbon to make an awesome take on a warsaw mule (typically a vodka drink): bourbon, fresh apple juice (seriously fresh, like right from the juicer!), fresh lime juice, a dash of bitters, and a sprig of fresh rosemary , topped with a splash of ginger beer.
the kentucky mule is also another good one to play with (moscow mule being the vodka version.) bourbon, fresh lime juice, ginger beer and some fresh mint to really liven it up.
now what i really want to know is what makes a cocktail a mule…
